Lovely showers

We had a lovely rain latenight yesterday sometime around 1 am. Fierce winds, thunders, lightenings and stuff! It was such a relief after the sultriest day we ever faced in this summer! I was so caught up in the beauty that I forgot to take out my already dried clothes from the clothesline :-D

As the rain lashes out without any mercy, and high winds threatening to blow away any skinny dude outside, I think this would be the appropriate time to comment at this blog! :D

Aint it suprising how this form of precipitation sparks different reactions to different people? While any farmer would gladly welcome the onset of these showers, all the potters would probably be cursing it as they wont be any longer able to dry their pot. Or rather how it ticks off mushy, romantic feelings for someone while for some of us it just makes us plain nostalgic like me…

….rain time, I used to see from our window bars ,in my very own castle as I would imagine those times and watch the outside world becoming wet, or people hastily clamoring for shelter! Mom used to bring those hot hot “oninon bajjis with tomato sauce and hot hot tea to go with it, and all the family members would come together and join and talk about stuff…though I did not make head or tails of their discussions I was just happy that all were around ( one of the advantages of the joint families which I had the privilege to during my younger years) and used to blissfully get lost in my own dreams…those were the good old days sigh!!!!

…of course that does not mean that they were tension free, I was always tensed about stuff say not missing Spiderman cartoon ot 5 o clock on Sundays, or figuring out where dadu-ji (grand-dad) would take me when he would go cycling next time ( I was pretty small then and my legs would only go far enuff that I was only able to half-pedal, still dadu made a point of taking me to satsang, or meet his old buddies…and I used to loyally follow him…wishing that the farther the destination was the better it would be!..come to think of it very few things in life come close to the joy of first learning how to bike, or when I was given the opportunity to act as a fully grown adult to watch the house while the others were gone….gosh…we were always in such a hurry to grow up those days!!!...i still wonder why!! :D

Boy!!! Somehow this rains to make me rewind back in old times, u know sometimes I remember what our B.tech proff used to say, he would say that life is nothing but a collection of past experiences, well coming from the mouth of the dude who was supposed to teach us about tractors and other boring stuff it was pretty surprising!!! Wonder what made him say that! But yeah I guess probably he is right at some level!!!!

Maybe the thing which makes us different from each other is the experiences we have had, that’s why maybe we see someone happily whistling away and becoming happy for no apparent reason, while some carrying on like the burden of the whole world rests on them!!!!

Even in the most stupidest stuff u might find sublimal deep thoughts inside! So try to look beyond the stupidity of the lyrics of song by salman khan when he sings “ tension venison kyon leti hai jaane jaana!...chaaar din ki jindagani muskurana!!”

Hee hee..i am done now…will the author care to comment on this comment???

Regards
Sanjay

sanjay its always so difficult commenting on such a nice comment :-D

Many-a-times I wish if only i could go back to those days. Now that I know how grown-up days look like, I would have made the most of my childhood. Looking back now, I realise I have wasted so much of it in front of TV or the HW notebook. Now I can just regret about it :-)
Coming back to rainy days, the most irritating thing is: when the weather is so beautiful outside and we are cooped up in the lab with the AC on. Most of the times I just wish to get out and get wet. I know u must feel the same too :-D
ur proffi's comment: I wud say that apart from past experiences, future hopes add another dimension to life :-) but then future fears are always there too :-D. But teachers do make an impression on us some way or other rt! Our english teacher for example. I wish I had payed more attention in her class:-)
