My brother (F) and his friends trekked through this abandoned railway track in Saklespura in the western ghats. He will probably add a travel account of this trip. Ill edit this post if and when that happens. This whole area is so gorgeous!! See you keep humans out of the picture and the place retains its beauty.

See there's just this wooden railway track and nothing else. F tells me one could see the valley through the gaps in the track. They also came across a waterfall where they all refreshed themselves.
(You can even spot F here in the pic if you know him.)
Now you see why Im jealous. I have never been to a place like this. OK if not dangerous treks like this, I should atleast be able to see places like Munnar, Coorg, Humpy rt! My friend once told me about her trip to the point where Cauvery originates. All this sometime in my life :-)

hey... did u know that the leopards caught in mumbai were released in this very area... makes it all the more interesting... right :-)
btw...hav been to coorg... only the name sounds good and romantic... take my word, it should be the worst hillstation in india... if you ever get a chance...avoid
oh really!! leopards!!! they saw elephant footprints it seems:-D wait til i tell F :-D
Coorg is that bad kya! good that u told me :-D
well not unless u r religious types and r dying to see cauvery source... (which is a 10x20 feet pond of a temple if you believe them)
there is one waterfall which is okay... but is often closed for public... supposed to be some kind of favorite suicide spot for ppl around there...
only good thing were the chicks there... u won't be interested I guess :-D
This is so much more better varuag. i suggest places to visit and u tell me why its useless to visit them. that way my wishlist is shortened to some extent :-D Since anyway its unlikely that ill get to go see them in near future. :-(
